Tickets
Please read the following policies before placing a ticket order for an event at the Plaza Theatre. On the final page of the online ticketing system, you will need to check a box affirming that you have read and understood and agree to these policies BEFORE you can complete your ticket purchase.
The following policies apply to all ticket purchases made for Plaza Theatre produced events. Ticket policies for groups renting the Plaza vary from show to show. Please ask a Plaza Staff member for information on a specific rental event.
Refunds and Exchanges
All ticket sales are final. No refunds and no exchanges will be given. (Policy varies on rental events. See a Plaza Staff member for details.)
Fees
Fees apply to all ticket sales, whether they are Plaza produced events or rental events.
A $1.00 PER ORDER Historic Preservation Transaction Fee is added to each and every ticket order placed for an event at the Plaza Theatre. This $1.00 fee goes toward the ongoing restoration and historic maintenance of this facility.
A $3.00 mailing and handling fee is added to all tickets orders that are to be mailed. Mailed ticket orders generally go out in the mail of the following business day.
Fees are non-refundable regardless of the ticket refund and exchange policy on an event.
Cancellations
1) For Plaza Theatre rental events - If an event is canceled for any reason and that event is being produced by an organization renting the Plaza Theatre and not by the Plaza Theatre itself, all refunds must be processed through the renting organization or individual even if the Plaza sold the tickets for the event. The Plaza Theatre will not handle any such refunds for that event, as all ticket sales revenue is passed on to the renter and is not kept by the theatre.
2) For Plaza Theatre produced events - If an event is cancelled due to the artist or artists inability to make it to the Plaza Theatre (due to weather, illness, etc) the Plaza will attempt to reschedule the event and the patron will have the option of a) keeping their ticket for the rescheduled event, or b) receiving a full refund less transaction and mailing fees, or c) donating the ticket and the received payment to the Plaza as a tax deductible donation.
The Plaza Theatre will not cancel any event as long as the artist or artists make it to the theatre. If they can make it to the theatre, the Patron will be expected to as well and no refund will be issued if the Patron decides to not attend due to weather, personal circumstances, etc. If you can not attend an event for which you purchased a ticket, consider giving the ticket(s) to a family member, friend, or coworker that might enjoy attending. The Plaza Theatre can not help you resell your ticket.
Email Confirmations
If you select the option to have an email confirmation of your order automatically sent to you, or choose to use the "Print At Home" ticket option, please be sure to set your email client or Internet service provider so as not to block as spam the addresses "boxoffice@plaza.org" or "info@plaza.org" or you will not receive your confirmation or even your emailed ticket. The Plaza will not respond to automatically generated emails from your spam filters sent back asking us to respond to be added to your approved list of mail recipients. You will simply not receive your ticket purchase confirmation or ticket.
Late Seating
Patrons that arrive late to a performance will be seated at the discretion of the Plaza House Manager and Ushers. A late Patron does not have the right to disrupt the performance for those Patrons that arrived at the theatre on time. Patrons may have to wait until an intermission to be seated.
Standing
So that everyone attending any event may enjoy the show equally, we do ask that all patrons remain seated throughout the entire performance. Many patrons can not, for assorted health and physical reasons, stand for prolonged periods of time, especially on an incline, and we ask that you act with common courtesy in that regard. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Content Responsibility
The Plaza Theatre is responsible for the content SOLELY on shows that it presents. Shows that contain mature subject matter will be labeled and marketed accordingly.
For groups that rent the Plaza Theatre, the Plaza takes no responsibility for the content, quality, or age appropriateness of these performance(s). The Presenter is responsible for all aspects of the performance. All comments on the content and quality of the performance should be directed to the Presenter and not to the Plaza Theatre, its staff, or Volunteers.
